Luckily, things have been falling into place for Joe, because our mom has really become a burden for Dad.
She has once again, not listened to her body with the warning signs of back pain. So one day this past weekend, she decided that she needed to be doled out pain meds... and then it was so bad that yes indeed, Dad had to take her to the ER.. (seems she prefers visiting the ER on the weekends--> and then complain) After that was taken care of, off they went to head home. Of course, Dad feels the need to feed her Egg McMuffins after each drs visit or ER trek..(haven't figured that out) and when she went to get out of the car, her bowels let loose all over their car seat! YUCK!!! So of course, they got the egg mcmuffins, and continued their drive home. Mom could not even get into the door of their cottage before having another explosion!
Poor Dad had to devise a system of coverings for the carpet for mom to even get into the cottage to make it to the bathroom!
Once again, Deb and I have blasted her to take charge of this situation. basically told her that the events seem to be increasing and rushing to the ER is really not good for her body, either is the stress of the situation.
So she has stated that she is willing to try a pain management clinic... yeah we will see. I think it will be too much work for her, too many restrictions for her diet and of course, there is the psychologist that is involved in the pain management team.
OHHH---bad word.
Made Joe aware of the shenaningans mom is playing, and I don't think he is very happy about it either.
He was able to take the shuttle to his appointment yesterday, since Dad was on poop duty... and Joe felt his appointment was successful.
Dad takes him to the dentist to get his mouth guard made, I think on Friday... Mom is supposed to go to the backpain dr... but I bet she does not go... she is asking a friend to take her from Lansdale all the way to Huntington Valley.
I stuck to my guns and did not offer to take her. She is too used to Debbie and I jumping hoops for her, and if it was life threatening, I would be there in a minute.. but as we have stated MANY times before, this is something she can take charge of.. she is just too lazy to do it.
will be sending Joe my work schedule in case he finds he needs some help, at least he knows when I am available.
