This past weekend was probably one of the first where we have not spent time concentrating on Joe's hectic schedule. Believe me, i am sure he was glad to have a few days where no one was chasing him.
In fact, he went up to his friend Barry's cabin for as he put it "probably the last chance I will get to do this for a long time" weekend. Just the guys, doing whatever it is, guys do.
Dad was very nervous that he went.. but heck, besides his stoma he basically can do everything.
Joe also needed a chance to prove this to himself. We all know he wants to be in control of what goes on, and what better way to do it, then go and do activities that you enjoy. And as it turns out, they had a beautiful weekend up there.
Of course he texted Debbie that he was going, and not me. Not sure how that works but it is kind of interesting... I just spent all of Thurs with him and no infor for me. HMMMM.
Ohh well, I am sure he knows if he needs something, I am a good "bugging person".
Now we just wait for the chemo and radiaiton to start.
