As the day went on yesterday, it appears that the cancer care coordinator has broached the idea of Joe being discharged to a facility to our dad. I am sure she has brought up the safety and 24 hour care, like I did.
Last night, as we were being seated for dinner, my phone rang and it was dad telling me more information that had been relayed to him.
The relief in his voice was just amazing!
The place we had pinpointed for Joe to be a resident of, he cannot go to because he lives too close to Philly. But they are checking into other facilities that he is eligible for.
The one thing left to check on, is if they provide transportation to and from chemo/radiation treatments.
I guess that is the next thing on my list to get done.
