Today is Joe's surgery, and although he told us we did not have to come and sit at the hospital... I do not go far without my phone in hand!
Mom called earlier this morning to let me know that our night before plan went off without a hitch and hopefully, they were able to get some kind of decent night's sleep.
So as of now....1:00 pm, he should be about 1/2 way through his surgeries. Today, he is having his larynx and lymph nodes removed, and a skin graft done in the needed areas. ( I am still a little grey on that issue)
Tomorrow, I am planning to drive about 1/2 way toward Philly, hop on a train, and go into center city, in time for the first allowed visiting times.
Here's to crossing fingers, praying and sending good thoughts.
Once again, he thanked Deb and I for all we did this past week, to help him and Mom and Dad.
