Called Joe today, to touch base, see if he needed me to do anything or get anything lined up for him..especially AFTER the surgery. While we were chatting, it does seem he has everything lined up and taken care of. Did really cover his bases.
We both agreed that Mom should not go down until he was in a regular room. The visiting hours are more flexible... so more conducive to her schedule.
Happily, my mom said she was going to go down after he was in his room... I am hoping she did mean by train. SOOO much easier on Dad.
Unfortunately, Mom and Dad are insisting that Joe come to their cottage and they are going to use the Care coordinator to tell him this news.. he will not like it, but maybe if he is not too comfortable after the surgery , he will welcome this. I personally think it is too much but he really does not have anywhere else to go.
He did get texting, so I will bother him on Tuesday night.. telling him that we are thinking of him and will see him shortly.. no reply necessary.
He is still very positive... and that is a huge plus.
